Specificity
This antibody reacts with C-peptide and proinsulin. It recognizes the central part of the C-peptide molecule, probably with the hydrophilicsegments 8-13 and 25-31. Does not react with human, bovine and porcine insulin, glucagon or somatostatin. Cross reactivity: C-peptide 100%, Human proinsulin 87%

Application Notes
Suitable for use in RIA, Immunohistochemistry and ELISA (Capture antibody). Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
