Immunogen Recombinant Human CDK7 / CAK protein.
Clone MO1-1
Isotype IgG2b
Specificity This antibody is specific to Human CAK (CDK-activating kinase) a 40 kDa protein. Cellular Localization: Cytoplasmic.
Purification Supernatant
Alternative Name CDK7
Background CDK7 is cdk activating kinase associated with the 34kDa cyclin H protein, and a 36kDa unnamed protein. CDK7/cyclin H is an integral part of the general transcription factor complex TFIIH, hence is important for activated transcription of polymerase II-dependent promoters and DNA repair. CDK7 is nuclear at all stages of the cell division cycle, except for mitosis indicating that its activity is required for key CDKs operating in distinct cell cycle phases.
Alternate names: 39 kDa protein kinase, CAK1, CDK-activating kinase, Cell division protein kinase 7, P39 Mo15, STK1, TFIIH basal transcription factor complex kinase subunit
Gene ID 1022
NCBI Accession NP_001790.1
UniProt P50613
Research Area Cell Cycle
Application Notes Immunohistochemistry on frozen sections: dilute 1: 20-1: 40 in an ABC method (60 minutesat room temperature). Also useful for Western blotting, Immunocytochemistry and Flow Cytometry. Positive Control: TonsilOther applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
