| Description | CDK7 is cdk activating kinase associated with the 34kDa cyclin H protein, and a 36kDaunnamed protein. CDK7/cyclin H is an integral part of the general transcription factorcomplex TFIIH, hence is important for activated transcription of polymerase II-dependentpromoters and DNA repair. CDK7 is nuclear at all stages of the cell division cycle, except formitosis indicating that its activity is required for key CDKs operating in distinct cell cyclephases. |
