Immunogen Formalin fixed membrane from a Hairy cell leukemia
Cross-Reactivity Human
Isotype IgG1
Clone JC159
Description Glycophorins A (GPA) and B (GPB) are single pass membrane sialoglycoproteins. GPA is thecarrier of blood group M and N specificities, while GPB accounts for S and U specificities. Glycophorin A is the major intrinsic membrane protein of the erythrocyte. The N terminalglycosylated segment, which lies outside the erythrocyte membrane, has MN blood groupreceptors and also binds influenza virus.
Characteristics Synonyms: Glycophorin-A, GPA, PAS-2, Sialoglycoprotein alpha, MN sialoglycoprotein

Application Details

Application Notes Immunohistochemistry on formalin fixed paraffin embedded sections: use a dilution of1: 25-1: 50 in an ABC method (30 minutes at room temperature). Recommended positive control: TonsilOther applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
Purification Supernatant
Storage Store the antibody undiluted at 2-8°C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20°C for longer. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf life: one year from despatch.
Research Area CD Antigens, Surface Receptors of Immune Cells
Restrictions For Research Use only
