Immunogen Recombinant full length cyclin E molecule. Genename: CCNE1
Clone 13A3
Isotype IgG2a
Specificity This antibody reacts with a protein of 50 kd known as Cyclin E or Cyclin E1. Cellular localization: Nuclear.
Purification Supernatant
Alternative Name Cyclin E1
Background Cyclin proteins are a family of related proteins which control the progression of the eukaryotic cell cycle. Overexpression of cyclin e shortens the length of the G1 phase, accelerating progression of S phase. The activity of cyclin E is mediated through its activation of cyclin dependent kinase 2 (cdk2) protein and is modulated by the presence of tumor suppressor proteins such as p16.Synonyms: CCNE, CCNE1, Cyclin-E1
Gene ID 898
NCBI Accession NP_001229
UniProt P24864
Research Area Cell Cycle
Application Notes Immunoprecipitation (Native and Denatured): Use Protein A and Ab at 20 μL/mg proteinlysate)Immunohistology (Formalin/Paraffin): 1/20-1/40 for 0 min at RT. Staining of formalin-fixedtissues REQUIRES boiling tissue sections in 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min. followed by cooling at RT for 20 min. Positive Control: Breast carcinoma. Western blot: A doublet of 50 kDa and a single band of 40 kDa is observed.
Other applications not tested.
Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
Restrictions For Research Use only
Format Liquid
Handling Advice Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Storage 4 °C/-20 °C
Storage Comment Store the antibody undiluted at 2-8 °C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20 °C for longer.
