Additional Information

Alternative name Cyclin E1
UniProt P24864
Immunogen Recombinant full length cyclin E molecule. Genename: CCNE1
Cross-Reactivity Human
Isotype IgG2a
Clone 13A3
Description Cyclin proteins are a family of related proteins which control the progression of theeukaryotic cell cycle. Overexpression of cyclin e shortens the length of the G1 phase, accelerating progression of S phase. The activity of cyclin E is mediated through itsactivation of cyclin dependent kinase 2 (cdk2) protein and is modulated by the presence oftumor suppressor proteins such as p16.
Characteristics Synonyms: Cyclin-E1, CCNE1, CCNE

Application Details

Application Notes Immunoprecipitation (Native and Denatured): Use Protein A and Ab at 20 µl/mg proteinlysate)Immunohistology (Formalin/Paraffin): 1/20-1/40 for 0 min at RT. Staining of formalin-fixedtissues REQUIRES boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min. followed by cooling at RT for 20 min. Positive Control: Breast carcinoma. Western blot: A doublet of 50kDa and a single band of 42kDa is observed. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
Purification Supernatant
Storage Store the antibody undiluted at 2-8°C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20°C for longer. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf life: one year from despatch.
