Description This antibody has been shown to be distinct from B72. 3 by reciprocal competitionradio-immunoassays and it has a Ka higher than that of B72. 3. TAG-72 is expressed incolon, breast, pancreatic, ovarian, lung and gastric cancer.
Specificity This antibody is specific to an oncofetal antigen of >1,000 kD known as tumor associatedglycoprotein (TAG-72) or CA 72-4. This antibody has been shown to be distinct from B72. 3 by reciprocal competitionradio-immunoassays and it has a Ka higher than that of B72. 3. TAG-72 is expressed in colon, breast, pancreatic, ovarian, lung and gastric cancer. Cellular localization: Cytoplasm, cell surface. Species: Human. Others not tested.

Application Details

Application Notes Immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin embedded sections: dilute 1: 50-1: 100 inan ABC method (30 minutes at room temperature). Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigenunmasking with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining. Recommended positive control: Breast carcinoma. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
Storage Store the antibody undiluted at 2-8°C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20°C for longer. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf life: one year from despatch.
