Immunogen Recombinant protein encoding the excreted domain of human GCDFP-15
Clone 23A3
Isotype IgG2a
Specificity This antibody is specific to 15 kD monomer protein called Gross Cystic Disease Fluid Protein-15 (GCDFP-15). Gross cystic disease of the breast is benign premenopausal disorder in which cysts are predominant. These cysts appear to be formed from excessive apocrine cystic secretions, one of which is GCDFP-15. This antibody can be used in for the staining of breast carcinoma, salivary duct carcinoma and apocrine epithelia. Cellular localization: Cytoplasmic.
Purification Supernatant
Alternative Name PIP / GCDFP15
Background Gross Cystic Disease Fluid Protein-15 (GCDFP-15) is a 15 kD monomer protein. Gross cystic disease of the breast is benign premenopausal disorder in which cysts are predominant. These cysts appear to be formed from excessive apocrine cystic secretions, one of which is GCDFP-15.
Alternate names: GCDFP-15, GPIP4, Gross cystic disease fluid protein 15, Prolactin-induced protein, Prolactin- inducible protein, SABP, Secretory actin-binding protein, gp17

Application Notes Immunohistochemistry: 1/10-1/20 in an ABC method. Incubation period: 60 minutes atroom temperature. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigenunmasking with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining. Positive Control: Skin. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
