| Description | Epithelial antigen is cell surface glycoprotein and is broadly distributed in epithelial cellsand displays a highly conserved expression in carcinomas. Epithelial antigen has beenknow to play an important role as tumor-cell marker in lymph nodes from patients withesophageal carcinoma. Epithelial antigen can be used to distinguish between basal celland basosquamous carcinomas and squamous cell carcinoma of the skin. |

Application Details
| Application Notes | Immunohistochemistry on Formalin-Fixed Paraffin Embedded Sections: Use at 1/50-1/150dilution in an ABC method (30 minutes at RT). Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigenunmasking with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining. Recommended Positive Control: Kidney. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user. |
| Purification | Supernatant |
| Storage | Store the antibody undiluted at 2-8°C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20°C for longer. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf life: one year from despatch. |
