Immunogen Recombinant full length mouse Calretinin protein.
Specificity The antibody is specific against a calcium binding protein called calretinin.
Purification Affinity purified
Alternative Name Calretinin (CALB2 Antibody Abstract)
Background Calretinin is an intracellular calcium-binding protein belonging to the troponin C superfamily. Calretinin has been detected in mesotheliomas and some pulmonary adenocarcinomas.Synonyms: 29 kDa calbindin, CAB29, CALB2
Gene ID 794
NCBI Accession NP_001731
UniProt P22676
Research Area Neurology
Application Notes Immunohistochemistry on paraffin embedded sections: dilute 1: 50-1: 100 in an ABC method (30 minutes at room temperature or overnight at 4degrees Celsius). Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require hightemperature antigen unmasking with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining. Recommended Positive Control: Mesothelioma
Other applications not tested.
Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
Restrictions For Research Use only
Format Liquid
Buffer Containing sodium azide as preservative
Preservative Sodium azide
Precaution of Use This product contains sodium azide: a POISONOUS AND HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCE which should be handled by trained staff only.
Handling Advice Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Storage 4 °C/-20 °C
Storage Comment Store the antibody undiluted at 2-8 °C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20 °C for longer.
