Background Proteolysis of PARP to its stable 85 kD fragment is an early marker of apoptosis and is mediated by Caspase (CPP32) protein. PARP uses nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (oxidized form) as a substrate to catalyze the transfer of ADP-ribose to a variety of nuclear acceptors.Synonyms: ADPRT, ADPRT 1, NAD(+) ADP-ribosyltransferase 1, PARP-1, PPOL, Poly [ADP-ribose] polymerase 1, Poly[ADP-ribose] synthetase 1

Application Notes Western Blot. Immunohistochemistry on Paraffin Embedded Sections: Use at 1/25-1/50 dilution in anABC method for 30 minutes at room temperature. High temperature treatment offormalin-fixed tissue sections with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 must be performed prior tothe immunostaining. Recommended Positive Control: Tonsil.
