Western Blotting (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Enzyme Immunoassay (EIA)
Specificity
This antibody detects porcine Carbxypeptidase B. Cross reactivity against Carboxypeptidase B from other tissues and species may occur but have not been specifically determined.Immunoelectrophoresis give a single precipitin arc against purified and partially purified Carboxypeptidase B [porcine pancreas].
Purification
Prepared from monospecific antiserum by a delipidation and defibrination.

Application Notes
Suitable for Immunoblotting (Western or Dot blot), ELISA, Immunoprecipitation and mostImmunological methods requiring high titer and specificity. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 1/2,000-1/10,000. Western Blot: 1/500-1/2,000. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Carboxypeptidase catalyzes the hydrolysis of the basic amino acids lysine, arginine and ornithine from the C terminal position in polypeptides. It occurs as a zymogen in the pancreas in most vertebrates.Synonyms: CPB, CPB1, PASP, PCPB, Pancreas-specific protein
