Immunogen
Choline Oxidase [Alcaligenes species].
Description
Choline Oxidase catalyzes the oxidation of choline and betaine aldehyde to betaine withconcomitant consumption of oxygen and production of hydrogen peroxide.
Specificity
This product is an IgG fraction antibody purified from monospecific antiserum by amulti-step process which includes delipidation, salt fractionation and ion exchangechromatography followed by extensive dialysis against the buffer stated above. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc againstanti-Peroxidase, anti-Goat Serum as well as purified and partially purified Choline Oxidase[Alcaligenes species]. Cross reactivity against Choline Oxidase from other sources is unknown.

Application Notes
Suitable for Immunoblotting (Western or Dot blot), ELISA, Immunoperoxidase electronmicroscopy and Immunohistochemistry as well as other peroxidase-antibody basedenzymatic assays. Recommended Dilutions: This product has been assayed against 1.0 ug of Choline Oxidase[Alcaligenes species] in a standard capture ELISA using ABTS(2,2'-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) as a substrate for 30 minutes atroom temperature. A working dilution of 1: 1,000 to 1: 5,000 of the reconstitutionconcentration is suggested for this product. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
