Glucose Oxidase [Aspergillus niger].
Description
Glucose Oxidase is widely used for the determination of glucose in body fluids and inremoving residual glucose or oxygen from foods and beverages. Glucose Oxidaseproducing moulds such as Aspergillus and Penicillium species are used for the biologicalproduction of gluconic acid. CATALYTIC ACTIVITY: Beta D glucose + O2 = D glucono 1,5 lactone + H2O2.
Specificity
This product is an IgG fraction antibody purified from monospecific antiserum by amultistep process which includes delipidation, salt fractionation and ion exchangechromatography followed by extensive dialysis against the buffer stated above. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against purified andpartially purified Glucose Oxidase and against anti-rabbit serum. Cross reactivity against Glucose Oxidase from other tissues and species may occur but hasnot been specifically determined.

Application Notes
Suitable for Immunoblotting (Western or Dot blot), ELISA and most Immunological methodsrequiring high titer and specificity. Recommended Dilutions: This product has been assayed against 1.0 ug of Glucose Oxidase[Aspergillus niger] in a standard sandwich ELISA using Peroxidase conjugated AffinityPurified anti-Rabbit IgG [H&L] (Rabbit) and ABTS(2,2'-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) as a substrate for 30 minutes atroom temperature. A working dilution of 1: 5,000 to 1: 30,000 of the reconstitution concentration is suggestedfor this product. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
