Additional Information

Characteristics Synonyms: Glucose oxyhydrase, Beta-D-glucose: oxygen 1-oxido-reductase, gox
Alternative name Glucose Oxidase
Swiss-Prot P13006
Immunogen Glucose Oxidase [Aspergillus niger].
Description Glucose Oxidase is widely used for the determination of glucose in body fluids and inremoving residual glucose or oxygen from foods and beverages. Glucose Oxidaseproducing moulds such as Aspergillus and Penicillium species are used for the biologicalproduction of gluconic acid. CATALYTIC ACTIVITY: Beta D glucose + O2 = D glucono 1,5 lactone + H2O2.
Specificity This product is an IgG fraction antibody purified from monospecific antiserum. Assay byimmunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Peroxidase,anti-Goat Serum as well as purified and partially purified Glucose Oxidase [Aspergillusniger].

Application Details

Application Notes Suitable for use in Immunoblotting (1/1,000-1/5,000, Western or dot blot), ELISA(1/4,000-1/20,000), Immunoperoxidase Electron Microscopy and Immunohistochemistryas well as other peroxidase-antibody based enzymatic assays. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
Concentration 10 mg/ml (OD280)
Buffer 0.02 M Potassium Phosphate, 0.15 M Sodium Chloride, pH 7.2 containing10 mg/ml Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA, IgG and Protease free) as stabilizer and 0.01%(w/v) Gentamicin Sulfate as preservative.Label: Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP)Reconstitution: Restore with
Storage Store vial at 2-8°C prior to restoration. For extended storage reconstitute product with 50%glycerol instead of water and then aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This productis stable for one month at 2-8°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Shelf life: one year from despatch.
