Availability
Immunogen Human platelet plasma membrane. Spleen cells from immunised BALB/c mice were fused with cells of the mouse SP2/0 myeloma cell line
Clone PM6-248
Isotype IgG1
Specificity This antibody recognises the CD41 cell surface antigen. It has not been established if clone PM6/248 recognises free CD41 or CD41 only when complexed with CD61. However, antibody binding is reduced in the presence of EDTA suggesting that the epitope recognised is dependent upon an intact CD41/61 complex.
Alternative Name CD41 / ITGA2B (CD41 Antibody Abstract)
Background CD41 is a 140kD glycoprotein expressed by platelets and megakaryocytes. CD41 is also known as platelet glycoprotein IIb, and functions as a receptor for fibrinogen, fibronectin and vWF. Alternate Names: Integrin Alpha-IIb, ITGA2B, GP2B, ITGAB, GPalpha IIb, GPIIb, CD41, Platelet Membrane Glycoprotein IIb.
UniProt P08514
Application Notes Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
Restrictions For Research Use only
Storage 4 °C/-20 °C
Storage Comment Store the antibody undiluted at 2-8°C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20°C for longer. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf Life: one year from despatch.
Expiry Date 12 months
