The antibody recognises the c1 epitope on holo-FSH. No cross-reaction is detected in RIA with hFSH beta or any other human glycoprotein hormone or subunit thereof.

Reactivity: Human
ELISA, PrA
Host: Mouse
Monoclonal
090-14155
unconjugated
Application Notes
RIA. ELISA: Two-site sandwich ELISA revealed recognition of a conformational epitope on intact hFSH which is located near the a1, a2 and a4 epitopes. Can be used as a capture or detection antibody in combination with clone INN-hFSH-60 (antibody ABIN118955). Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Follicle stimulating hormone enables ovarian folliculogenesis to the antral follicle stage and is essential for Sertoli cell proliferation and maintenance of sperm quality in the testis. Members of the pituitary glycoprotein hormone family, of which FSH is one (see also luteinizing hormone, chorionic gonadotropin, and thyroid stimulating hormone), consist of a shared alpha chain and a beta chain encoded by a separate gene. The FSHB gene encodes the beta subunit of follicle stimulating hormone.Synonyms: FSH beta, FSHB, Follitropin beta chain
