Immunogen Human platelet membranes. Spleen cells from immunised Balb/c mice were fused with cells of the mouse SP2/0 myeloma cell line.
Clone M-Ab-F11
Isotype IgG1
Specificity This antibody recognises JAM-1, cell surface antigen, originally identified by this antibody as the F11R antigen on platelets. The antibody has been shown to activate platelets, leading to aggregation and granule secretion.
Purification Purified
Alternative Name CD321 / JAM1 (F11R Antibody Abstract)
Background JAM-1, also known as CD321, is important in intercellular adhesion between endothelial cell and epithelial cells, and is also a functional receptor on platelets.Synonyms: F11R, JAM-A, JCAM, Junctional adhesion molecule 1, Junctional adhesion molecule A, PAM1, Platelet F11 receptor, Platelet adhesion molecule 1
Gene ID 50848
NCBI Accession NP_058642
UniProt Q9Y624
Research Area Cell/Tissue Markers, CD Antigens, Surface Receptors of Immune Cells
Application Notes Flow cytometry: 1/10 - 1/50, Use 10 μL of the suggested working dilution to label 10^6 cells in 100ml. Immunoprecipitation. Western Blot: 1/100 - 1/1000, this antibody detects a band of approximately 35-40 kDa in platelet cell lysates.
Other applications not tested.
Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
Restrictions For Research Use only
Concentration 0.5 mg/mL
Buffer PBS containing 0.09 % Sodium Azide
Preservative Sodium azide
Precaution of Use This product contains sodium azide: a POISONOUS AND HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCE which should be handled by trained staff only.
Handling Advice Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Storage 4 °C/-20 °C
Storage Comment Store the antibody undiluted at 2-8 °C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20 °C for longer.
