Immunogen Mouse MC/9 cell line. Spleen cells from immunised Lewis rats were fused with cells of the Murine P3X63Ag8.653
Clone MFR5 (5H10)
Isotype IgG2a
Specificity This antibody recognises integrin alpha 5 (CD49e), which associates with the beta 1 integrin (CD29) to form the fibronectin receptor CD49e/CD29 (VLA-5). Clone MFR5(5H10) has been reported to block CD49e mediated function. We recommend the use of SM2100LE for this purpose.
Purification Affinity chromatography on Protein G
Alternative Name CD49e / ITGA5
Background VLA-5 plays an important role in cell adhesion and migration and is expressed by mast cells, thymocytes, Tcells and monocytes.
Alternate names: CD49 antigen-like family member E, FNRA, Fibronectin receptor subunit alpha, Integrin alpha-5, Integrin alpha-F, VLA-5, VLA5
NCBI Accession 10090
UniProt P11688
Research Area CD Antigens, Surface Receptors of Immune Cells
Application Notes Flow Cytometry: 1/10 - 1/25, Use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label 10e6 cells in 100ml. Immunohistochemistry on frozen sections. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
