Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to a thirteen amino acid sequence with the C-terminal region of human XIAP

Description: XIAP is an endogenous inhibitor of cell death, which functions by suppressing caspases 3, 7, and 9. The protein is also reported to play a a role in the activation of NF kappa B and the regulation of cyclins and cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors (CDKIs). Regulators of XIAP activity include XAF-1 and Smac. Specificity: This antibody is specific for X-chromosome linked inhibitor of apoptosis (XIAP). It detects a band of approximately 57KDa in kidney lysates.

Application Details

Application Notes: Western Blot: 0.5ug/ml - 2.0ug/ml. Immunohistochemistry on paraffin sections: 2ug/ml, This product requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
