Additional Information
| Alternative name | CDw198 / CCR8 |
| Swiss-Prot | P51685 |
| Immunogen | Synthetic peptide - KLH conjugated |
| Description | CCR8, a Chemokine Receptor, binds the CC-chemokine I-309, which is secreted by umbilical vein endothelial cells. CCR8 also binds viral monocyte inflammatory protein-I (vMIP-I), which is induced by Kaposi sarcoma-related human herpesvirus-8. CCR8 induces endothelial chemotaxis and may function as an HIV-1 co-receptor on primary human cells, contributing to HIV-1-induced thymic pathogenesis (Lee et al., 2000). Alternate Names: CDW198, CKR-L1, CKRL1, CMKBR8, CMKBRL2, CY6, GPRCY6, MGC129966, MGC129973, TER1, chemokine c-c motif receptor 8, chemokine c-c receptor-like 2, chemr1, ckr-l1. |
| Specificity | Reacts with C-C Chemokine Receptor 8 (.The immunizing peptide shows 47 % identity (65 % similarity) with mouse |
Application Details
| Application Notes | Immunohistochemistry with formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissues: 3-8 ug/ml Antigen retrieval: Steam slides in 0.01 M sodium citrate buffer, pH 6.0, at 99-100°C for 20 min. Remove from heat and let stand at room temperature in buffer for 20 min. Rinse in 1x TBS with Tween (TBST) for 1 min. at room temperature. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user. Further Comments: This product was originally produced by MBL International. |
