Additional Information
| Alternative name | Adenosine receptor A1 |
| Swiss-Prot | P30542 |
| Immunogen | Synthetic peptide - KLH conjugated |
| Description | The A1 Adenosine Receptor is involved in smooth muscle contraction, control of heart rate, sedation, and lipolysis. Expression of the adenosine A1 receptor has been reported in the central nervous system, particularly in the cerebral cortex, hippocampus, thalamus, striatum, and cerebellum, and in peripheral tissues including heart, adipose, testis, and kidney. ESTs have been isolated from brain, breast, eye, kidney, salivary gland, and testis libraries. Alternate Names: RDC7, a1 adenosine receptor, a1ar, adenosine receptor a1 , ADO-A1 receptor, adora1, rdc7. |
| Specificity | Reacts with Adenosine A1 Receptor (family: GPCR, subfamily: Adenosine). The immunizing peptide shows 95 % identity (100 % similarity) with mouse and 95 % identity (100 % similarity) with rat |
Application Details
| Application Notes | Immunohistochemistry with formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissues: 16 ug/ml Antigen retrieval: Steam slides in 0.01 M sodium citrate buffer, pH 6.0, at 99-100°C for 20 min. Remove from heat and let stand at room temperature in buffer for 20 min. Rinse in 1x TBS with Tween (TBST) for 1 min. at room temperature. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user. Further Comments: This product was originally produced by MBL International. |
| Concentration | 1.0 mg/ml |
| Buffer | PBS, pH 7.7, containing 0.01% sodium azide |
| Storage | Store the antibody undiluted at 2-8°C for one month or (in aliquots) at -70°C for longer. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf life: one year from despatch. |
