Additional Information

Alternative name Fos-related antigen 2
UniProt P15408
Immunogen Peptide corresponding to amino acids 377 to 391 of human GFRa-2
Cross-Reactivity Human, Mouse (Murine), Rat (Rattus)
Description GFRa-2, also known as NTNRa, GDNFRb, Ret ligand 2 (RETL2) or TGFb-related neurotrophic factor receptor 2 (TNR2) binds NTN and mediates activation of RET receptor tyrosine kinase by both NTN and GDNF. GDNF (glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor) is a potent survival factor for central and peripheral neurons. Physiological responses to GDNF require the presence of a novel glycosylphophadidylinositol linked protein GDNFRa. Alternate Names: GDNFbeta / RETL2.

Application Details

Application Notes Western blot at 1-2 ug/ml dilution. HeLa cell lysate can be used at positive control and a 52 kDa band should be detected. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
Concentration 0.5 mg/ml
Purification Purified
Buffer PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide
Storage Store the antibody at 4-8°C for one month or at -20°C for longer. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf Life: one year from despatch.
