Description: The LIM motif defines a zinc-binding domain that is found in a variety of transcriptional regulators and proto-oncogenes products. LIM domain mediates protein-protein interactions and, with LIM-homeodomain proteins, act as negative regulators of the transcriptional activation function of the protein. This transcription factor is required for embryonic survival and for the determination of many cell types.

Specificity: This antibody is specific for LIM-1.

Application Details

Application Notes: Western blot: 1/500 - 1/1000. Recommended positive control: human muscle. In human muscle, a 60 kDa band is observed. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Buffer: PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide
