Immunogen Synthetic peptides corresponding to amino acids 684-699 and 285-298 of Mouse IkBzproteinAA Sequence: RKGADPSTRNLENEQP (684-699), YQYSPQTQNMQQPP (258-298)
Characteristics Synonyms: I-kappa-B-zeta, IkB-zeta, IkappaBzeta, INAP, MAIL, NF-kappa-B inhibitor zeta, Moleculepossessing ankyrin repeats induced by lipopolysaccharide, IL-1 inducible nuclearankyrin-repeat protein
Purification Protein G Chromatography.
Alternative Name NFKBIZ / IKBZ
Background IkappaBzeta (also known as MAIL and INAP) is an ankyrin-repeat-containing nuclearprotein that is highly homologous to the IkappaB family member Bcl-3. Transcription ofIkappaBzeta is upregulated by stimulation with TLR ligands, IL-1 and IL-6 in culturedB-lymphocytes and monocytes/macrophages, but only faintly so in T-lymphocytes,fibroblasts, and endothelial cells. IkappaB-zeta preferentially associates with theNF-kappaB subunit p50 rather than p65 and recombinant IkappaB-zeta proteins inhibit theDNA binding of the p65/p50 heterodimer and the p50/p50 homodimer.
Gene ID 64332
UniProt Q9BYH8
Application Notes Western Blot: 1-3 µg/ml. Recommended Positive Control: RAW. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
