Immunogen Synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 930-949 of human Nod1 protein
Purification Serum
Alternative Name CARD4 / NOD1
Background Nod1 is implicated in the intracellular detection of pathogen associated molecule, such as, microbial peptidoglycans and signals the activation of NF-kB. Nod1 has an NH2-terminal CARD- linked to a nucleotide-binding domain and a COOH-terminal segment with multiple leucine-rich repeats, which are involved in binding to multiple caspases with long prodomains, but specifically activated caspase-9 and promoted caspase-9-induced apoptosis. Nod1 is a leucine- rich repeat-containing Apaf-1-like molecule that can regulate both apoptosis and NF-kB activation pathways. Alternate Names: CARD4.
UniProt Q9Y239
Research Area Signaling, Transcription Factors
Application Notes Western blot (1/1,000 - 1/2,500). Recommended Positive Control: Recombinant fusion protein. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
