Additional Information

Alternative name Retinoblastoma Gene Protein (Rb)
Immunogen Recombinant human Rb protein.
Format Supernatant
Isotype IgG1  (Matching secondary antibodies)
Clone 1F8
Specificity This antibody recognizes human retinoblastoma gene protein. Rb gene, a prototype of tumor suppressor genes has been associated with development and/or progression of bladder cancer as well as sarcoma and small cell lung cancer. Functional Rb gene loss has been reported to occur in bladder cancer and osteosarcoma. A significantly poorer tumor-free survival rate was noted for those patients who had a tumor with an altered Rb protein with or without vascular invasion.

Application Details

Application Notes Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:25-1:75 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 1mM EDTA buffer, pH 8.0 prior to immunostaining. Positive Control: Colan carcinoma. Cellular localization: Nuclear Other Applications: Immunoprecipitation (1:50), Western Blotting (1:50 to 1:100)
Concentration 100ug/ml approximately
Buffer This antibody is supplied as purified immunoglobulin fraction containing sodium azide as preservative.
Storage Store the antibody at 2-8o c. Do not use it beyond the expiration date stated on the label.
Research Area Cancer, Transcription Factors
Restrictions For Research Use. CE-certified for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) Use in the European Union
