Additional Information
| Immunogen | Recombinant human MGMT protein. |
| Format | Supernatant |
| Isotype | IgG1 (Matching secondary antibodies) |
| Clone | MT3-1 |
| Specificity | O6-Methylguanine-DNA-Methyltransferase (MGMT) is a 22 kD human DNA repair protein that removes O6-alkylguanine DNA adducts. MGMT acts as a suicide acceptor protein repairing the DNA by accepting alkyl groups and consequently inactivating itself. This antibody stains all mantle zone lymphocytes and 50%of germinal center lymphocytes. Basaloid epithelial cells of tonsil squamous mucosa were also stained positive with this antibody. |
Application Details
| Application Notes | Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:25-1:50 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30-60 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. High temperature treatment of formalin-fixed tissue sections with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 must be performed prior to the immunostaining. Positive Control: Tonsil. Cellular localization: Nuclear and cytoplasmic |
| Concentration | 100ug/ml approximately |
| Buffer | This antibody is supplied as tissue culture supernatant containing sodium azide as preservative. |
| Storage | Store the antibody at 2-8o c. Do not use it beyond the expiration date stated on the label. |
| Restrictions | For Research Use. CE-certified for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) Use in the European Union |
