Additional Information

Alternative name Cytokeratin 13
Immunogen Cultured A431 cells from a human epidermoid carcinoma of the vulva.
Isotype IgG1  (Matching secondary antibodies)
Clone KS-1A3
Specificity This antibody is specific to 54 kD protein. Cytokeratin 13 belongs to the type A (acidic) subfamily of low molecular weight cytokeratins and exists in combination with cytokeratin 4. Cytokeratin 13 is expressed in major component of squamous, non-keratinized epithelium, transitional epithelium and myoepithelium. This antibody is useful for the identification of carcinomas of trachea, sweat glands, bladder, ectocervix, tongue, esophagus, anal canal and the basal layer of keratinized epidermis.

Application Details

Application Notes Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:25 to 1:100 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining. Positive Control: Skin. Cellular localization: Cytoplasmic
Concentration 100ug/ml approximately
Buffer This antibody is supplied as diluted ascites containing sodium azide as preservative.
Storage Store the antibody at 2-8o c. Do not use it beyond the expiration date stated on the label.
Research Area Extracellular Matrix
Restrictions For Research Use. CE-certified for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) Use in the European Union
