Additional Information

Alternative name PTEN
Immunogen BALB/C mice were immunized with a synthetic peptide from the c-terminus.
Isotype IgG2a  (Matching secondary antibodies)
Clone PTN-18
Specificity This antibody recognizes 56 KD protein. PTEN also called MMAC, is a tumor suppressor gene implicated in wide variety of human cancers, particularly prevalent in glioblastomas, endometrial carcinomas, advanced prostate cancers and breast cancers. In addition, germline mutations in PTEN give rise to Cowden disease, an autosomal-dominant syndrome, characterized by multiple hamartomas and increased risk for development of breast, thyroid and brain tumors. This antibody crossreacts with human, rat and mouse.

Application Details

Application Notes Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:25-1:100 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining. Positive Control: Prostate ca. Cellular localization: Nuclear
Concentration 100ug/ml approximately
Buffer This antibody is supplied as purified immunoglobulin containing sodium azide as preservative.
Storage Store the antibody at 2-8o c. Do not use it beyond the expiration date stated on the label.
Research Area Signaling, Transcription Factors
Restrictions For Research Use. CE-certified for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) Use in the European Union
