Additional Information

Alternative name Cytokeratin 6
Immunogen BALB/C mice were injected with a synthetic peptide (GSSTIKYTTTS) from the c- terminus of human cytokeratin 6.
Format Liquid (prediluted)
Isotype IgG2a  (Matching secondary antibodies)
Clone LHK6B
Specificity This antibody is specific to a 56 kD protein, which is identified as cytokeratin 6. Cytokeratin 6 and 16 are expressed in keratinocytes undergoing hyper proliferation. Cytokeratin is found in hair follicles, suprabasal cells of a variety of internal stratified epithelia. Cytokeratin 6 is strongly expressed in about 75% of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.

Application Details

Application Notes Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining. Positive Control: Skin. Cellular localization: Cytoplasmic
Concentration 1 to 4 ug/ml
Buffer This antibody has been pretitered and quality controlled to work on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded as well as acetone fixed cryostat tissue sections. No further titration is required.
Storage Store the antibody at 2-8o c. Do not use it beyond the expiration date stated on the label.
Research Area Extracellular Matrix
Restrictions For Research Use. CE-certified for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) Use in the European Union
