Additional Information

Alternative name Calretinin
Immunogen Recombinant full-length mouse calretinin protein.
Format Supernatant
Isotype IgG  (Matching secondary antibodies)
Clone SP13
Specificity This antibody recognizes a 31.5 kD protein named Calretinin. Calretinin is an intracellular calcium-binding protein belonging to the troponin C superfamily characterized by a structural mitif described as the EF-hand domain. The immunohistochemical detection of calretinin in developing cerebellum is restricted to the later stages indicated by weak staining from week 21 of gestation, in Purkinje and basket cells and in neurons of the dentate nucleus. The intensity of staining increases as the cerebellum matures. In tumors, calretinin has been detected in mesotheliomas and some pulmonary adenocarcinomas. This antibody crossreacts with Human, Monkey, Mouse, Rat.

Application Details

Application Notes Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:100 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining. Positive Control: Mesothelioma. Cellular localization: Cytoplasmic
Concentration 100ug/ml approximately
Buffer This antibody is supplied as tissue culture supernatant containing sodium azide as preservative.
Storage Store the antibody at 2-8o c. Do not use it beyond the expiration date stated on the label.
Restrictions For Research Use. CE-certified for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) Use in the European Union
