Additional Information

Alternative name p53
Immunogen Recombinant human full-length wild type p53 protein.
Format Supernatant
Isotype IgG  (Matching secondary antibodies)
Clone SP5
Specificity This antibody recognizes p53 protein. p53 is a tumor suppressor gene expressed in a wide variety of tissue types and is involved in regulating cell growth, replication, and apoptosis. It binds to mdm2, SV40 T antigen and human papilloma virus E6 protein p53 senses DNA damage and possibly facilitating repair. Mutation involving p53 is found in a wide variety of malignant tumors, including breast, ovarian, bladder, colon, lung, and melanoma. This antibody crossreacts with Human.

Application Details

Application Notes Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:100 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining. Positive Control: Colon carcinoma. Cellular localization: Nuclear
Concentration 100ug/ml approximately
Buffer This antibody is supplied as tissue culture supernatant containing sodium azide as preservative.
Storage Store the antibody at 2-8o c. Do not use it beyond the expiration date stated on the label.
Research Area Transcription Factors
Restrictions For Research Use. CE-certified for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) Use in the European Union
