Specificity: This antibody is specific to 170 kD known as first member (EGF- Receptor) of type I Family of growth factor receptors. Its epitope maps in the extracellular domain of EGFR. Overexpression of EGFR has been reported in tumors of breast, brain, bladder, lung, gastric, head and neck, esophagus, cervix, vulva, ovary and endometrium. EGFR is over expressed in squamous cell carcinoma.

Application Details

Application Notes: Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:25-1:50 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature or overnight at 40C. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require digestion with Protease XXV at 1mg/ml PBS for 5 minutes at 370C. Positive Control: Placenta. Cellular localization: Cell membrane Other Applications: Immunoprecipitation (1:50), Western Blotting (1:50 to 1:100)
