Specificity
This antibody is specific to a cluster of proteins between 19-22kD (reduced). VEGF is a homodimeric disulfide-linked glycoprotein involved in angiogenesis, which promotes tumor progression and metastasis. It exhibits potent mitogenic and permeability inducing properties specific for the vascular endothelium.

Application Notes
Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:25-1:50 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. High temperature treatment of formalin-fixed tissue sections using 1mM EDTA, pH 8.0 must be performed prior to the immunostaining. Positive Control: Astrocytoma. Cellular localization: Cytoplasmic, cell membrane, extracellular matrix
