Specificity
This antibody reacts with a 6 kD protein known as TGF alpha. TGF alpha is a growth factor with 33% homology to EGF, binds to EGFR, activates tyrosine phosphorylation of receptor and stimulates cell proliferation. TGF alpha plays role in tumor initiation by inducing the reversible transformed phenotype.

Application Notes
Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:15-1:25 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the end user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining. Positive Control: Anterior Pituitary. Cellular localization: Cytoplasmic
