Additional Information

Immunogen BALB/C mice were immunized with recombinant human Mcl-1 protein corresponding to amino acid 1-327.
Format Purified
Isotype IgG1 kappa  (Matching secondary antibodies)
Clone RC13
Specificity This antibody stains with a 42 kD protein. Myeloid cell leukema-1 (Mcl-1) is a member of bcl-2 family, which blocks programmed cell death. The carboxy terminal of Mcl-1 and bcl-2 share significant sequence homology. Like bcl-2, Mcl-1 protein can interact with Bax, inhibiting BAX- induced cell death and promoting cell viability. Mcl-1 stains epithelial cells in a variety of tissues including prostate, breast, endometrium, epidermis, stomach, small intestine, colon and respiratory tract.
