Additional Information

Alternative name Paxillin
Immunogen BALB/C mice were immunized with purified full-length recombinant human paxillin protein.
Format Purified
Isotype IgG1 kappa  (Matching secondary antibodies)
Clone 5H11
Specificity This antibody with a protein of 68 kD. Paxillin is a focal adhesion protein and a substrate for several tyrosine kinase such as src, FAK and p210BRC/ABL. The tyrosine phosphorylation of paxillin is affected by conditions that change cell-cell adhesion. Although paxillin was initially discovered in fibroblasts, its phosphorylation may also be important during neurite extension during differentiation. This antibody cross reacts with rat.

Application Details

Application Notes Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:50-1:100 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining. Positive Control: Colon carcinoma. Cellular localization: Cell membrane, cytoplasmic
Concentration 100ug/ml approximately
Buffer This antibody is supplied as purified ascites containing sodium azide as preservative.
Storage Store the antibody at 2-8o c. Do not use it beyond the expiration date stated on the label.
Research Area Extracellular Matrix
Restrictions For Research Use. CE-certified for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) Use in the European Union
