Epithelial antigen is cell surface glycoprotein and is broadly distributed in epithelial cells and displays a highly conserved expression in carcinomas. Epithelial antigen has been know to play an important role as tumor-cell marker in lymph nodes from patients with esophageal carcinoma. Epithelial antigen can be used to distinguish between basal cell and basosquamous carcinomas and squamous cell carcinoma of the skin.

Application Notes
|
Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:50-1:150 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining. Positive Control: Kidney. Cellular localization: Cell membrane
