Additional Information

Alternative name Cystatin A
Immunogen Human Cystatin A.
Format Supernatant
Isotype IgG1  (Matching secondary antibodies)
Clone WR-23-2-2-3
Specificity This antibody reacts with 11-13 kD protein, Cystatin A. Cystatins are endogenous inhibitors of lysosomal proteases that form a superfamily, which is classified into 1, 2, and 3 families. Cystatin A is thought to be a tumor suppressor, since a inverse correlation seems to exist between the level of Cystatin A and tumor progression. Cystatin A has been implicated in aging of tissues, Alzheimer disease, viral infection and inflammatory processes.

Application Details

Application Notes Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:50-1:100 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. Suitable for formalin/paraffin tissues. Pretreatment with trypsin is required for paraffin sections. Positive Control: Brain. Cellular localization: Cytoplasmic
Concentration 100ug/ml approximately
Buffer This antibody is supplied as tissue culture supernatant containing sodium azide as preservative.
Storage Store the antibody at 2-8o c. Do not use it beyond the expiration date stated on the label.
Research Area Serum/Plasma Proteins
Restrictions For Research Use. CE-certified for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) Use in the European Union
