Specificity
This antibody recognizes a 63 kD protein. The p63 gene is highly expressed in the basal or progenitor layers of many epithelial tissues. P63 shows remarkable structural similarity to p53 gene. Unlike p53, the p63 gene encodes multiple isotypes with remarkable divergent abilities to transactivate p53 reporter genes and induce apoptosis.

Application Notes
Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:50-1:100 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. Suitable for formalin/paraffin tissues. Positive Control: colon ca. Cellular localization: Nuclear
