This antibody reacts with human GFAP as well as GFAP from cat, chicken, cow, guinea pig, hamster, monkey, rat, mouse, sheep and kangaroo. In the central nervous system, this antibody stains astrocytes and some groups of ependymal cells. However, in the peripheral nervous system, it stains Schwann cells, satellite cells and enteric glial cells.

Application Notes
|
Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:50-1:250 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation conditions should be determined by the user. Suitable for formalin/paraffin tissues. Positive Control: Brain. Cellular localization: Cytoplasmic
