Specificity: This antibody reacts with a 145 kD protein. c-kit is a transmembrane receptor tyrosine kinase. c-kits is expressed in many tissues and cells. c-kits is involved in the development of several lineages of stem cells, such as germ cells, neural crest derived melanocytes and hematopoietic precursor cells. This antibody can be used in the identification of gastrointestinal stromal tumors.

Application Details

Application Notes: Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:50-1:100 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation conditions should be determined by the user. High temperature treatment of formalin-fixed tissue sections with 1mM EDTA buffer, pH 8.0 must be performed prior to the immunostaining. Positive Control: Tonsil.
