Specificity
This antibody reacts with a 28 kD protein (pro form) and 18 kD (active form) of MMP-7. Matrix metalloproteinase (MMPs) are a family of closely related zinc-containing proteolytic enzymes, capable of degrading connective tissue components. Imbalanced secretion of certain MMP is implicated in the invasive potential of malignant tumors. MMP-7 is thought to play an important role in the early steps of tumor progression. Expression of MMP-2, MMP-7 and MMP-11 is higher in pancreatic carcinoma than in normal pancreas.

Application Notes
Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:25-1:50 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation conditions should be determined by the user. Suitable for formalin fixed paraffin tissue sections. No special pretreatment is required. Positive Control: Placenta. Cellular localization: Cytoplasmic
