Additional Information
| Alternative name | P53 |
| Immunogen | Recombinant full-length wild type p53 protein. |
| Format | Ig-fraction, Purified |
| Specificity | This antibody reacts with a 53 kD protein. p53 is a tumor suppressor gene expressed in a wide variety of tissue types. It is involved in regulating cell growth, replication and apoptosis. It binds to mdm2, SV40 T antigen and human Papilloma virus E6 protein. Mutation involving p53 is found in wide variety of malignant tumors, including breast, ovarian, bladder, colon, lung and melanoma. This antibody crossreacts with mouse and rat. |
Application Details
| Application Notes | Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:50-1:100 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation conditions should be determined by the user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining. Positive Control: Colon carcinoma. Cellular localization: Nuclear |
| Concentration | 100ug/ml approximately |
| Buffer | Purified immunoglobulin fraction of rabbit antiserum against p53 containing sodium azide as preservative. |
| Storage | Store the antibody at 2-8o c. Do not use it beyond the expiration date stated on the label. |
| Research Area | Transcription Factors |
| Restrictions | For Research Use. CE-certified for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) Use in the European Union |
