Specificity
This antibody reacts with a 42 kD protein. Myeloid cell leukemia-1 (MCL-1) is a member of the bcl-2 family. The carboxy terminal of Mcl-1 and bcl-2 share significant sequence homology. Expression of Mcl-1 is increased upon exposure of ML-1 cells to various types of DNA damaging agents, along with increases in GADD45 and Bax and a decrease in bcl-2.

Application Notes
Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:25-1:50 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Positive Control: Tonsil. Cellular localization: Cytoplasmic, nuclear Other Applications: Immunoprecipitation, Western blotting (1:100-500).
