Description
CD27 is a transmembrane 55 kDa protein of the nerve growth factor-receptor family, expressed as a disulfide-linked homodimer on mature thymocytes, peripheral blood T cellsand a subpopulation of B cells. Activation of T cells via TCR-CD3 complex results inupregulation of CD27 expression on the plasma membrane as well as in the release of itssoluble 28-32 kDa form, sCD27, detected in the plasma, urine or spinal fluid. This sCD27 isan important prognostic marker of acute and chronic B cell malignancies. RgpA, a cysteinproteinase, although activating T cells through the protease-activated receptors (PARs),degradates CD27 and counteracts T cell activation mediated by CD27 and its ligand CD70.
Specificity
The antibody LT27 reacts with CD27 (T14), a 50-55 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein(member of the TNF-receptor superfamily) expressed on medullary thymocytes, peripheral Tlymphocytes, some B lymphocytes and NK cells.HLDA V, WS Code T T-CD27.01

Application Notes
The reagent is designed for Flow Cytometry analysis of human blood cells using 20 µl reagent / 100 µl of whole blood or 10 6 cells in a suspension. The content of a vial (2 ml) is sufficient for 100 tests.
Buffer
The reagent is provided in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 15 mM sodium azideand 0.2% (w/v) high-grade protease free Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) as a stabilizing agent.
Storage
Store in the dark at 2-8 o C. Do not freeze. Avoid prolonged exposure to light. Do not use after expiration date stamped on vial label.Short-term exposure to room temperature should not affect the quality of the reagent. However, if reagent is stored under any conditions other than those specified, the conditions must be verified by the user.
