Immunogen KLH conjuagted synthetic peptide of Human acidic hair (trichocytic) keratin K36 (formerly also designated keratin hHa6)
Sequence APQ VGT QIR TIT EEI C
Specificity Specific for Acidic Hair Keratin K36 (hHa6). The antiserum stains specifically Human hair keratin K36 expressed starting from the middle region of cortex.
Purification Serum
Alternative Name Keratin-36 (KRT36) (KRT36 Antibody Abstract)
Background KRT36 is a member of the keratin gene family. This type I hair keratin is an acidic protein which heterodimerizes with type II keratins to form hair and nails. The type I hair keratins are clustered in a region of chromosome 17q12-q21 and have the same direction of transcription.Synonyms: HHA6, HKA6, Hair keratin, K36, KRT36, KRTHA6, Keratin, Keratin 36, Keratin-36, Keratin36, type I Ha6, type I cuticular Ha6
Gene ID 8689
NCBI Accession NP_003762
UniProt O76013
Application Notes Immunoblotting: 1/2000 (ECL). Immunohistochemistry on frozen tissue: 1/200, 1h at RT. NOTE: For enhancement of cortex staining preincubate fixed sections with 0.1 Triton X-100(in PBS) for 1 - 5 min prior to first antibody incubation step.
Other applications not tested.
Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
Restrictions For Research Use only
