Immunogen: This antibody was purified from hybridoma (clone PL14) supernatant using protein A agarose. This hybridoma was established by fusion of mouse myeloma cell P3U1 with Balb/c mouse splenocyte immunized with GST-6myc-Tag fusion protein.

Description: Epitope tagging is a widely accepted technique that involves fusing an epitope-containing peptide to a certain protein as a marker for gene expression. The gene expression can be easily monitored by Western blotting, immunoprecipitation and immunofluorescence utilizing with an antibody that recognizes the “tag epitope. Some amino acid sequences that are typically used for epitope tagging include YPYDVPDYA (HA-Tag), EQKLISEEDL (Myc-Tag) and YTDIEMNRLGK (VAV-G- Tag), which correspond to regions of the Influenza hemagglutinin protein, human c-myc gene product, and Vesicular stomatitis virus glycoprotein, respectively.

Specificity: This antibody recognizes the Myc-Tag peptide sequence (EQKLISEEDL) by Western blotting and immunocytochemistry.

Buffer: In PBS containing 1% BSA, 10% glycerol and 0.01% p-hydroxyphenylacetic acid with preservative (0.15% Pro Clin150).
