Description: Subunit (Mr 180 kDa) of LFA-1 The monoclonal antibody I21/7 reacts with the subunit of mouse CD11a, also known as Leukocyte Function-associated Antigen-1 (LFA-1) and a member of the integrin family of cell adhesion molecules.1, 2 The antigen is expressed on thymocytes, T and B lymphocytes, and on non-lymphoid cells in the bone marrow.2 CD11a appears to be an essential component for T-cell activation by antigen-presenting cells and is important for cell-mediated killing. Co-stimulatory signaling by LFA-1 is achieved by pairing with its ligand, CD54/ICAM-1.1,

Application Notes: Working Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: Fluorescein (1 ug/10^6 cells), Biotin (1 ug/10^6 cells), R-phycoerythrin (0.2 ug/10^6 cells), R-phycoerythrin-Cyanine 7 (0.2 ug/10^6 cells). Since applications vary, you should determine the optimum working dilution for the product that is appropriate for your specific need.

Storage: The purified (UNLB) antibody is supplied as 0.5 mg of purified immunoglobulin in 1.0 mL of 100 mM borate buffered saline, pH 8.0. No preservatives or amine-containing buffer salts added. Store at 2-8C. The fluorescein (FITC) conjugate is supplied as 0.5 mg in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3. Store at 2-8C. The biotin (BIOT) conjugate is supplied as 0.5 mg in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3. Store at 2-8C. The R-phycoerythrin (R-PE) conjugate is supplied as 0.1 mg in 1.0 mL or 0.2 mg in 2.0 mL of PBS/NaN3 and a stabilizing agent. Store at 2-8C. Do not freeze! The low endotoxin, azide-free (LE/AF) antibody is supplied as 0.5 mg purified immunoglobulin in 1.0 mL of PBS. Aliquot and store at or below -20C. The R-phycoerythrin-Cyanine 7 (R-PE-CY7) conjugate is supplied as 0.1 mg in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3 and a stabilizing agent. Store at 2-8C. Do not freeze! Protect conjugated forms from light.
